 All Valley Life spend 4 days in training for the 7 Habits and how to implement these traits within our school and lives. 

The Leader in Me is a K-12 whole-school improvement model that impact the leadership, culture, and academics of the school. Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) provides the foundation for students successful in life (Durlak, Weissberg, Taylor, & Schellinger, 2011). The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

The Leader in Me process also helps to create a common language within a school, built on proven principle-based leadership skills found in   Dr. Stephen R. Covey’s best-selling book, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People:

Lighthouse Certification

In 2011, there were 22 Lighthouse Schools in the world -  Valley Life became the 34th Lighthouse school in 2015.  August 2018 - there are 413 Lighthouse Schools. 

​Lighthouse Certification:  Within the education industry, it is common for schools to receive recognition for outstanding achievement. The Lighthouse Certification is a highly-regarded standard set by Franklin Covey.  The certification is evidence that schools have produced outstanding results in school and student outcomes, by implementing the process with fidelity and excellence. It is also because of the extraordinary impact that the schools may be having on staff, students, parents, and the greater community.​
